Samsung Launches Galaxy S26 FE

Samsung has officially launched the Galaxy S26 FE.
The new phone comes with a 6.7-inch AMOLED display, an Exynos 2500 processor and a 4,900mAh battery.
It is also the first phone in the Galaxy S26 family to launch with Android 17 and One UI 9.
Samsung has confirmed that the phone will be available in Ghana from Monday, August 31.
A faster processor and brighter display
The Galaxy S26 FE is powered by Samsung’s Exynos 2500 processor.
It has 8GB of RAM. Storage options include 128GB, 256GB and 512GB. However, Samsung says storage availability may vary by market.
The phone has a 6.7-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display.
It supports a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. This should make scrolling, gaming and animations look smoother.
The display can also reach a peak brightness of 1,900 nits, according to Samsung’s official launch announcement.

A familiar camera system
The Galaxy S26 FE has three cameras at the back.
The main camera uses a 50-megapixel sensor with optical image stabilisation.
There is also a 12-megapixel ultrawide camera and an 8-megapixel telephoto camera.
The telephoto camera supports 3x optical zoom and up to 30x digital zoom.
At the front, Samsung has included a 12-megapixel selfie camera with a wider 85-degree field of view. The Galaxy S25 FE offered an 80-degree view.
This should make it easier to include more people in group selfies.

New tools for creating videos
My FanCam is one of the main features Samsung is promoting.
It allows you to select a person in a video. The software then follows that person and keeps them near the centre of the frame.
This could be useful at concerts, school events and sporting activities.
However, My FanCam is not exclusive to the S26 FE. Samsung first introduced it on its latest foldable phones.
The S26 FE also supports Super Steady with Horizontal Lock.
This helps to keep videos level when the phone tilts during recording.
Photo Assist allows users to edit pictures using written instructions. You can add objects, restore missing areas or change the appearance of a scene.
Samsung says AI-edited images will include a visible watermark.
Galaxy AI with One UI 9
The Galaxy S26 FE launches with Android 17 and Samsung’s One UI 9 software.
Now Brief can provide personalized cards for information such as weather and wellness.
Now Nudge can study the context of supported messages and notifications. It can then suggest a useful next step.
Circle to Search can also identify several objects in one image.
Moreover, these features are not exclusive to the S26 FE. They are part of Samsung’s wider Galaxy AI experience.
The S26 FE’s real distinction is that it is the first model in the Galaxy S26 family to ship with One UI 9.

Battery and charging
The phone has a 4,900mAh battery.
Samsung says it can reach up to 69 percent in around 30 minutes when using a compatible 45W charger.
The charger is sold separately.
The phone also supports 15W wireless charging and Wireless PowerShare. PowerShare allows the phone to charge compatible earbuds, watches and smartphones.
Built for longer use
Samsung promises seven generations of operating-system upgrades and seven years of security updates.
The phone also carries an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance.
It weighs 193 grams and measures 7.4mm thick.
Samsung is offering three colours:
- Blueberry
- Graphite
- Pistachio
Price and Ghana availability
Samsung Ghana says the Galaxy S26 FE will be available locally from Monday, August 31.
The Ghanaian price was not included in the press release.
Samsung also did not provide local preorder details or confirm which storage options will be sold in Ghana.
We will update this article when Samsung Ghana announces the official price and launch offers.
Delppy’s take
The Galaxy S26 FE looks like a practical update.
The faster processor, 45W charging and seven years of support are meaningful improvements.
The camera hardware is not a major change. Samsung is relying more heavily on AI-assisted photography and video tools.
There also appears to be no major feature made exclusively for the S26 FE.
Its value in Ghana will depend on the final price. It will need to cost noticeably less than the standard Galaxy S26 to make sense.
We go talk more chale.
